A late night spam attack from some poxy online casino no doubt run by a bunch of crooks has motivated me to add a ‘human check’ to the comment form. You need to enter a code that’s in a graphic.
Of course if you are not human then you can’t comment
This site uses xhtml and CSS2 - if you can read this then your browser doesn't support those standards. You should really think about joining the 21st Century
This column would be over on the right if you weren't living in the past
If you were not using 5 year old technology then you would see nicely rendered titles below

MSN has launched a blogging service, MSN Spaces. Using the tidy plugin for firefox I validated it. 5 errors 50 warnings. Including stupid stuff like putting div in spans. Can Microsoft not hire someone who can write HTML?
[And looseend has 20 errors, 19 are because tidy doesn't like the embedded rdf, the other is in the dodgy officecam popup provided by a technology partner

This blog entry quit nicely covers why I haven’t taken the plunge into 3g. I want to use the internet with a phone, and despite the bandwidth 3g doesn’t seem to make that it easy.
At least if it does they don’t shout about it.

Riding home tonight I saw my first house with Christmas lights on it.
It’s November the 8th.

Truly, the relational data model is a wonderful innovation, and it would be an absolute disaster to replace it with flawed persistence technologies like XMLDBs or OODBMS.
Probably never a truer word been said.

The strap on my 4 year old Swatch watch broke a couple of months ago. No meatspace shop, including the Swatch shop in London, could provide me with a new strap. My watch is apparantly non standard. The Swatch web site will only ship to US addresses. Yay for Squiggly, they have a massive range of Swatch stuff, going back years and could furnish me with a new strap that exactly matches the old one

I gave in and got a Nikon (thought not at that price).
Now I just need to find something to take picutres of
The first trip out with it was not disappointing, it feels and responds just like a real camera, except you don’t have to wait for Snappy Snaps to screw up your pictures before you get to see them

Rat neruons fly F22 says wired. I saw a rat on the way into town this lunchtime. It must have been one of the old world stupid rats ‘cos it was just scurrying into the bushes and not piloting a vehicle of any kind.

At the risk of opening myself to a certain amount of ridicule, has anyone who reads this (a small but skilled group
) ever used some workflow software that’s any good?
