Largo use linux and as a result save loads of money. This has been around for a while, but it shows that with planning large organisations with real users (not techies) don’t have to pay Bill lots of money.

SliMP3 a streaming MP3 player with no fan or hard disk, just ethernet in and phono out. Cool! And it costs less than an iPod.
If I actually listened to music when not working (and therefore right next to the MP3 server) I would buy it!

Duck shot in drive by shooting – why would a duck be involved in a turf war ? I’d say the suspects were a gang of coots but I don’t think coots would drive a volvo.

I worked on the Xerox 6085 when I was a student – and they were old then.
I programmed in Mesa for DSR – Document Search and Retrieval, or Document Shred and Remove as someone else unkindly called it

From Slashdot this GPS experiment shows a map based on the routes people take around amsterdam.
The subway drivers map shows how he disappears underground. The guy called Chris seems to have too much time on his hands as he drew a pigeon!
I’d like to know whats in the large dark areas where nobody goes …..
