I’ve worked out how to add the big bag, and then how to put the back light somewhere you can see it. Added another bottle cage and managed to fit the off road light + big battery.

So Dunwich Dynamo, here I come!

The AA on bikes, and putting their pics on flickr! What has happened to the world!

A couple of weeks ago I did the Trans Germany race. We didn’t realise at the time but as well as ‘hobby bikers’ professional riders take part too - they could have done the race twice in the time we took! Still we finished…

My old laptop gare up, the power connection went dodgy and if would randomly turn itself off.

I nearly got a Mac, mainly because Vista is supposed to be crap. But I decided I couldn’t bring myself to become one of ‘those’ people, and then I found a hp tx 2050 in staples. So now I am a wish owning tablet PC user! So for I am seasonally impressed. I’ve written all this using handwriting, and it works better than any other system I’ve used…

What’s the point? It’s such a simple thing with so little to it I don’t get why it’s considred so brilliant.

So I managed to get the box in my car, unlike amtrak who couldn’t get it in their teensy weensy van.

See it get out of the box. So far I’ve ridden it up and down the street and discovered the saddle is knackered!

I’m getting a new bike (it’s been a year since the last one!) and it’s coming over the internet, so it needs delivering.

Gets picked up by Amtrak on Wednesday.

Status says ‘with deliver driver’ Thursday morning.

Friday still no bike.

The phone number is just a series of recorded messages, some bloke on the internet says if you keep pushing buttons you get through to someone, so I did and I did. Guy phones the driver, after a bit says he’s found my parcel outside. Apparently it was too big to go on the van!

So I am going to Basingstoke tomorrow. Moral of the story, don’t use Amtrak.

The first customers through the door were June Thumwood and her mother Nancy Lyne from Tilehurst.

“We were desperate to get a look at the new Tesco,” Mrs Thumwood told the Evening Post. “We got here at 7.30am.

It used to be a hospital and now it’s a supermarket, only a couple of miles from another mega Tesco.
